14 Months Old!

I can hardly believe the boys are already 14 Months Old! They love to talk and are actually fairly clear with about 10 words although they say a lot more. They love to try to repeat what I say! It's a Speech Language Pathologists dream - because they do the fun twin language stuff, real words, and imitate Mommy!
The physical side is a little slower - I'm not worried yet because they show all the readiness skills for walking, . . . they just won't let go yet. Not for more than two steps anyway! And the pulling up and stepping started at 9 months. They are so close now. It's interesting to see all the stuff I learned in school first hand. Children really do develop at their own pace and genetics has so much to do with it - the boys are so similar with all they do and learn! And I can really see that they take development in chunks - they have focused on the eating for a while, then on to the rapid development of talking, and now they're getting stronger into the walking.
The twins each have 6 teeth now and are still working on #7 and #8! They still eat all table food and have since about 11 months now. I was looking back through my pediatric swallowing skills for a friend recently and boy did I push the eating thing quickly. Don't get me wrong, the twins were ready for it all, but they do everything - cups, straws, big spoons and forks. And in looking back I really did a lot of swallowing therapy with the babies and their bottles the first several weeks! Anyway, random quick thoughts just to say how I praise the Lord for how healthy He has made them!
Here's the boys at firehouse with their fire chief hats!

Here's Cade waving from the car!

And Carson deep in thought! His favorite thing to do is get in the car . . . then get out of the car . . . then get in the car . . . then get out of the car . . .

Here's the twins playing around Saturday morning!

And here's Cade and Carson at 14 Months Old this morning before church. They are wearing their Easter suits (minus the jackets for the picture) today because they didn't get to wear them on Easter. We were traveling home from visiting Papa and Nana!
