Flashback 2 years to this week - Kevin and I bought a new Nissan Titan truck (on the Thursday before going into labor) with full back seat and real back doors in preparation for the twins. Our stroller didn't fit in the trunk of my old car. So I got to drive his truck a couple of days - it just so happened that I went into pre-term labor and didn't get to drive it very long. Don't worry I was driving it again the day after Cade and I went home from the hospital (to breastfeed Carson at the hospital)! It was goodbye Accord! I actually don't miss Taffy now that I have my nice Sienna!

The Month I Didn't Know the Babies were Arriving!
Here's my journal entry from 1/11/07: I had my 30 week visit today! Everything is good. He said my cervical length is 3.2 compared to 3.6 2 weeks ago. He said all is well with one more appointment to measure cervical length at my next visit which will be 1/30/07 (ironically, that is the day they ended up being born!!!) with an ultrasound and Dr. Spielvogel. When that happens, I'll be 33 weeks, and he said we won't need to measure cervical length anymore because thinning and effacement anytime after that is fine. Today is the first day my ankles have swollen - I just noticed it at my appointment while waiting. I showed him, and he said not to worry - the little bit of swelling was fine. I now weigh 140lbs and my waist measures 39". My blood pressure was 100/60 and he said he looked over my 3-hour sugar test really well and was not worried. He apologized for putting me through it - isn't he so nice. I got to see both babies and hear their heartbeats again today! So precious! They've been kicking me like crazy again lately. It was so great to see Cade and Carson on our 9th ultrasound! Baby A's head is still in position with feet up near my right ribs and Baby B's head is now lying on top of Baby A's head with his feet wrapped up at the top of my belly. Neither baby is in breech position at this time, and he said things look on go for a vaginal delivery when the time comes. He told me again he will closely consider baby B's size to make sure his head won't get stuck. It looks like we should make it til the end of February - Dr. Spielvogel is very pleased with everything. He told me again to keep on being normal! I got to see his wife and his baby boy - so precious and really big - and one of his little girls! They use the same Duoglider stroller that we'll be using for Cade and Carson!
These beautiful pictures are from mine and Kevin's last weekend together at the beach without children! Not exactly a babymoon, though! We were there for my work continuing education conference. I have been on the planning committee for it this year, and let me just say the NHC Regional therapy conference is no small event! It is this weekend, and was this same weekend two years ago. I was so big then and of course didn't know I was going to have the babies so soon.

Time to Reminisce!
These pictures are from one year ago today. I guess it's because this is their birthday month, but I am in a major mood for reminiscence! The next several posts will probably be "old" stuff now that the boys are almost TWO YEARS OLD! The top one is Carson crawling over Cade. The bottom one is Cade excited to play with the lamb.
