Christmas Decorating!

Cade and Carson are checking out the candle in the window and the outdoor lights (just reindeer)!
Hugging his brother while looking out the window at Uncle Adam, Aunt Joni, and Austin's house!

I thought this shirt was great for the twins!
Checking out their Carolina Christmas Tree!
Cade!
Carson!
The twins are making sure the stockings were hung with care!
Taking a nap while I decorate the big tree!
Asleep this morning when I went in to get them ready for DayCare!
Twin Snowmen!
Our big tree!
All decorated!
The boys like their room all decorated although Saturday night we thought we were going to have to carry that tree out of their room due to Cade bawling: "I don't want to have a Christmas tree in my room at night!" We smoothed it over and even though he fell out of the bed twice that first night (I heard the bells and ornaments jingle), he's been fine since! He's also been dry three mornings in a row again!

Our latest (last?) fishing trip!

Well, I took the day off Friday, so we could take the twins fishing! Here's Carson's puppy kissing Cade at the window while Daddy was loading up the boat!
Snack on the boat after possibly the worst trip across the bay ever! We've had some sketchy crosses before, but this time was 30 something degrees, windy and splashy! Needless to say we got soaked! Thankfully, we warmed up fast with the sun and didn't have to use the change of clothes in the bag I packed. This must have been our first boat trip since the end of July (when we started the potty training), because we had to tackle time to potty on the boat. I totally meant to bring the little baby potty that I keep in the van, but we forgot when we were loading up. Peeing off the side of the boat was not too hard! But pooping was too hard for me to hold them over the side, so Kevin held them for that part! It was actually a success - no accidents, and that's saying a lot since I kept thinking I was about to wet my pants every time we hit a big wave on the way there and back!

Daddy did some fishing! Mommy did, too, but I didn't catch any fish!
Carson is making Cade laugh while he drives! They totally thought Cade was driving while Kevin was running the trolling motor. Carson would say, " Cade, back up and go that way, want to?" Cade would say, "Uh huh, yeah! Hold on Mommy, hold on Daddy, hold on TarTar. We're gonna go fast!" And then of course Kevin would do it from up front! It was so cute that they thought they were doing it!
Eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!
Yummy!
Netting the fish Daddy just caught!
Daddy caught a spottail! And he's a keeper! (Kevin is a keeper, too!)
Into the cooler, which, the night before Carson told us was where the fish go! Then they found the cooler where we always put the food and drinks and told us what it was for!
Whew! We made it back across the bay and back home after a sketchy stop at the carwash to wash the boat - back to our tractors!
The boys have stopped to watch as Daddy flushes out the motor!
Glad to be home and safe!

Chasing Shadows and Turkeys!

This is what we did last night! We went to find the artist Clay Rice for silhouettes at Little Angels! He just snips and snips - less than 5 minutes each child, and this is the final product - Cade and Carson!
This is the picture they took a couple weekends ago at Bass Pro! It may be the only picture we get with Santa this year!

Here's the turkeys we saw in the neighborhood this morning! We see these turkeys a lot - I just thought it was cool that it was the day before Thanksgiving!
Here's all three running away from us this morning!
And this is the twins when we stopped at a stop sign!
Cade and Carson are helping me drive this morning when we were waiting on Mrs. Charlie to open up!
Cute little drivers! I had to turn off the windshield wipers, turn signal and bright lights when I cranked back up after taking them inside!
I realize we haven't given a potty update in a long time, so here's the latest! They did excellent with keeping dry after they learned how to "make it work" on cue and tell when they needed to relieve themselves. The first month and a half or so they would have an accident about every week and then they just stopped having any pee pants for like a month and a half! But I still kept them in pull-ups for night time until about a month ago. They were doing really well staying dry at night. They would have an accident about one time every three days - which was not so bad as far as changing sheets and all. And by they, I mean Cade. Carson has only wet the bed one time. Anyway, a week ago, Cade started wetting every night for 3 nights in a row, so we went back to pull-ups on him at night. He's been a little bit wet about half of the days and dry the other half. I'm hoping he doesn't have the awful Dobson bed-wetting gene! We have managed to keep Carson from seeing the pull-up each of these nights to attempt to keep him from regressing! They still like to copy each other with everything (almost everything - they chose different color socks this morning), so we want to prevent copying the night time peeing problem! Crazy enough, we don't have to put on pull-ups for nap (even though they still sleep 3 hour naps)! I still can't believe I have two boys this far along before the age of three. I probably would not have even started trying yet if they hadn't asked and showed so much interest. They'll be three in just over 2 months! We are so blessed with how well they handle transitions and growing up! We praise the Lord for our sweet boys! What a great thought to end on the night before Thanksgiving!

John, Rebekah, Jack and Rylee Visit!

We invited our good friends - the "Flanagan Four" to come visit this weekend! We had lots of fun Friday night and all day Saturday!  Jack is following Carson all over the yard!

Carson pulled Rylee in the wagon on our walk around the circle!

Now the youngest two are waiting for the oldest two to "hurry on up" as Carson always says!
Cade got in the wagon with Rylee and Carson was still able to pull them a long way!
Then Jack took Cade's spot!
And Cade found a good spot!

Everyone on the walk!
Cade decided to help Carson pull Rylee!
Taking a look at the "creek" made by a drain pipe!

They stopped at this fire hydrant to pee! And, oh yes, they peed right on it - my little puppies!
Checking out the nostalgia park at Broadway Saturday morning!
Feeding the ducks and the fish!
This picture is for those of you who miss seeing the ducks and fish fight over the food at Broadway!
Looking for more ducks!
Cade is getting more food to throw as Carson drops a piece to the fish!
Everyone is so intrigued!
Cade and Carson are amazed at those Carpe!
Walking down the boardwalk!
Jack called Carson's name the whole day (whether it was Cade or Carson) and actually looked at the front and the back of their shirts as if to see if he could read a nametag to find if it really was Carson!
Jack was sharing raisins with Carson!

Cade is pointing to the ducks while Carson chases Jack for more raisins and Rylee sits still eating pretzels at the spot I thought we might get them all four to "line up for a picture" - yeah, right!

The twins thought it was cool to see ducks in this little fountain!

Carson and Cade loved all the stuffed animals in the Disney Store!
 They found Pluto and Daisy!
And Pluto and Mickey!
And a Dalmatian!
For each of them, but I missed the sweet face shot!
They went pee pee everywhere we could find a spot without people!
Cade and Carson on the blue bench!
Cade and Carson got Rylee and Jack to the top of the steps to sing to all the animals with them. I didn't grab the camera in time, so I got Cade saying: I have to go down the steps!
We had lots of fun and look forward to another visit with the Flanagan Four!
