Welcome 2010!

New Year's Day the boys got to play with Daddy while I worked. I helped them get a nap when I got home (meaning I took an afternoon nap, too)! Then we played more. And Kevin and I undecorated the Christmas tree. We also took it apart - our first year to have a really nice pre-lit artificial tree. It was almost our last! That thing was awful - we pulled and pulled and thought we'd never get two sections apart. We were all scratched up and very upset. During the process, Kevin said several times we were taking it back to Lowe's. I really prefer a real tree (course we have had our disaster with that too - it fell over and broke a bunch of ornaments and had water all over the carpet one year), but I think he's determined to make it work next year. We'll see. Here's the boys after they lined up all these couch pillows again (while we were struggling with the tree - Kevin wouldn't let me take a picture of that) and called it their boat!

Saturday morning we slept late while Daddy was hunting! Here's the boys watching out the window as Daddy unhitches the boat! Yes, we did take the wreaths down that day (and all the other Christmas decorations)!

Daddy showed the boys the woodduck he got!

Carson told him to go put that back in the boat!

They lined up the pillows again this morning and when I called it their boat, I was quickly corrected that it was their horsey! Well, ok!
Here's nap time at our house! Yes, these crazy boys decided to wear this outfit Saturday morning! It's the outfit we got in St. Thomas on our Disney Cruise! Well, it was too cold to go outside, so it didn't really matter what they wore. They were funny though. They're both really in to pockets right now (and I really need to start checking their pockets before doing laundry - we've already washed several small items), so Carson could be found at any point during the day with lots of little toys in his shirt pocket. Notice they still sleep with those puppies and their favorite penguins!

Carson is eating oatmeal while watching TV after waking up from his nap!
Cade decided to have a banana!
Sunday night in discipleship training at church.
I'm not quite sure my children were taking the "train" part correctly! And I think Mark Randall just got dragged into this!
At least he didn't copy them in taking his shoes off!
Here's Carson while waiting at the doctor's office for flu shots one day this week (yes, we have just finished up the flu and H1N1 shots - now we are all fully vaccinated)!
Cade kept going to touch the monkeys on the wall - he's a little monkey, too!

Bathrobes have never been so fun!

My two little two year olds absolutely love their bathrobes and can't wait to put them on now after a bath! Here's Cade and Carson "sporting" their newest fashion!

They even had to go up into the attic to find Daddy and show him how cool their bathrobes are!
That made Daddy smile in the midst of organizing the holiday decorations!
Carson, Kevin and Cade are my three sweethearts!
We forgot to bring Austin's presents to Grandma's on Christmas day, and then were off schedule with Adam and Joni until Sunday night at Grandma's house again!
Aunt Joni watches Austin's excitement while opening his Legos from Cade and Carson!
Austin is excited to open more (and looks like he's getting a little help on the next one)!
There's my original cutie-pie! Don't you just love that sweet face - glad he really likes it!
Guess who thought it would be fun to climb into the toy box while Mommy was rearranging/organizing all the toys!
Yes, it's Carson and Cade!
Carson decided to stay in and go night-night!
And on New Year's Eve, here we sit with a band-aid on a nose!
To make matters worse he clipped his hand in this chip clip I handed him to "play" with while I got them a snack! What a Mommy!
I promise I wouldn't have taken the picture if I'd have realized why he was upset in the previous picture. At least he was fine and still wanted to play with it after I iced his hand!
What will 2010 have in store for these sweet growing boys?!! We praise the Lord ahead of time knowing that He is in control of it all and has great plans for our sweet growing boys!!!!!!

More Christmas Day Visits and Celebrating!

Grandma and Grandpa came over to see what Santa brought the twins!
They showed off the baseball tees!

Cade loves to play ball with Daddy!
He hit it off all by himself!
Here's the yummy Monkey Bread!
Uncle Adam, Aunt Joni and Austin came to see the boys, too!
Carson is showing off the new Bass Pro Hummer and Boat from Santa!
The twins took Austin up to see their fort!
That made them think about the other gingerman house - which they quickly invited him to come see! Cade is sharing it with Austin as they all three quickly eat the decorations!
Carson asked for a bite of the gingerbread, and when I pulled for a pinch of the roof - this is what I got and gave to him!
Cade was glad to get the other half of the roof!
Austin liked the candy much better than the gingerbread, but my two are happy with any and all sweets!
And happy with all messes!
We went over to Grandma Ree's again for Christmas lunch and then back to Grandpa's to nap (play, they didn't nap) while we waited for Uncle Adam, Aunt Joni and Austin to open presents!
Austin wasn't wasting any time!
All the boys started ripping in to the presents!
That's a big box!
Daddy helps Cade figure out his flying turtle from Grandpa and Grandma!
Racing on the fun new turtles!
Austin figured out the way to go fast!
Grandpa got one, too! Carson found the best seat! With Grandma pushing they can go really fast!
I even got a chance to try it out! Mr. Winford's legs are really too long for him to sit very comfortably on here, so I think Joni and I will get to ride this one!
Carson likes his Elmo hands from Aunt Joni, Uncle Adam and Austin!
Cade opens his, too!
Playing with the fun Hess cars from Grandma and Papa!
The twins love the fun new vehicles!
Carson opens some great books from Grandma and Grandpa! Grandma knows how much these boys love to read!
Cade and Carson open some yummy poptarts from Uncle Adam and Aunt Joni! That was one thing that was on their Christmas list every time we asked them what they wanted! Santa even put a sleeve of poptarts in each boy's stocking!
Carson likes that he has boxers like Daddy now! Grandma gave boxers to the boys to wear under their church clothes! I have a feeling they may want to transition to all boxers once they start wearing them!
Daddy and Cade work on packing up the fun presents!
We went home that afternoon and got the boys down for a late nap around 4pm and they slept until the next morning about 6am! It was a great relaxing Christmas night! We played our new Rummy -O game from Nana and Bopa T. and ate dinner just the two of us and constantly checked on our tuckered out boys before deciding we were beat at 8pm! What a holiday!
