One year since the due date!

Here's Cade and Carson with the Easter Bunny who surprisingly looks like a llama on Saturday! They "found" the lucky egg and got a very cute blue stuffed animal bunny!

Here they are playing outside at Grandma and Grandpa's house after church Sunday! Here's a recent family photo! Carson and Cade on St. Patrick's Day!
Carson trying to push Cade out of his rocking chair! Don't worry he stood his ground or in this case, kept his seat!
Just for laughs!
Here's me the end of January 2007! This was like 3 days before they were born!
Here's when the pregnancy should have been 35 weeks! Please excuse the red eyes! The boys are 2 weeks old in the picture!
And here's Cade and Carson one year after their due date 3/18/07!

Can you tell they're sick? They have ear infections and couldn't go to daycare today because of the fever-free for 24 hours policy. The doctor's visit went well - they're on an antibiotic. Cade weighs 23 and 1/2 lbs and Carson weighs 22 and 1/2 lbs.

So, I took them to work with me today! They entertained everyone at the nursing home! Cade and Carson love being the center of attention! Needless to say, I didn't get too much done - mainly just office stuff! I have such a great job though - everyone there is so wonderful! Several of the nurses and social workers took turns taking the boys for strolls, and the therapists enjoyed showing them off to all our patients who always ask about them! Our boss is so wonderful to welcome any babies when we really need to come in and don't have childcare. I can't say enough great stuff about NHC.

Anyway, you can probably tell I've been home a lot today though since I changed some stuff on the blog. I would probably mess around on here and organize every little thing in our house if I was a stay at home mom. I'm sure we would do all the moms' group stuff, so I would probably not get much more actual playtime in with naps and all. Playtime is so precious! But obviously I would miss my great patients and friends at work! I'm sure part of what makes me want to spend every spare second with them (like picking them up early when I can and taking them on all our crazy trips) is the fact that I do work! Nah, I think it's just cause children are so fun! Ok, time to go for a walk now!

March Pictures!

The first lawn mower rides! You can't really tell here, but Cade had the cheesiest grin on his face the whole time he was riding with Daddy!
Carson sat with me waiting on Cade to finish, and the whole time he was doing his little hands in the come here motion which is what he does when he wants to be picked up! Here he is trying to drive with Daddy!
And here he is actually driving - just something more his size!
Of course, Cade, being the bigger brother tries to teach Carson how to drive in reverse!

We finally bought a new van the end of February! Thanks so much to Nana and Papa for the old one - it has been so great this past year!

Cade and Carson playing in one of their favorite spots! These are their Bible School shirts from last summer that look like muscle shirts on them now! I love it!

And here's Daddy's new cooler for the boat! The boys can't wait to ride in the boat this summer!

Here's Cade modeling his "We are 1" shirt in the laundry basket!

We took Cade and Carson to a Japanese Steakhouse for the first time! They loved every minute of it! Here's Carson with Daddy!

And Cade with Mommy!

They were totally amazed by the chef and the fire! They loved eating the veggies and shrimp and chicken! They were also entertained by a sweet four year old blonde who kept coming over and squeezing them and stealing kisses! They giggled and giggled!

Here's family playing at Great Grandma Ree's house last Sunday!

Cade is riding Mr. Hippolo with Carson pushing!

And here's Carson riding with Cade trying to catch a ride!

Austin is practicing his T-ball swing!

Carson and Cade enjoy watching Austin outside!

Cade and Carson are outside to help Daddy grill our dinner Friday night!

And here they are playing after dinner!

And the rest of the story . . .

We played in our hotel some ...

We played more . . . I actually did take a couple of toys for them, but you know how fun Mommy's shoes are!
We found a familiar place to eat in Anaheim - we liked the GPS . . .
Here's our view of the courtyard - Disneyland is behind with Space Mountain on the very right side above the hotel.
We went to Hollywood!
And to Las Angelas - this is where they had the Chinese Mann Theatre blocked off for the Academy Awards.

And here's the beautiful Pacific Ocean! How many one year olds can say they've seen the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean in the same week? We have two that can!

Here's Kevin, Cade, and Carson at the San Diego Zoo!

The twins loved all the animals - here they are looking at a Bonobo!

Mommy and Boys love to look for the animals, too!

The twins liked all the gorillas!

And we all especially loved the Panda Bears!

And here we are watching the fun Sea Lion Show...

And finally we're home where the boys know the cabinets . . .

... and stairs! They are so silly! I don't know who was more glad to be home! I'm pretty sure it was me, since I was throwing up with a virus the whole day on our travel home - oh yeah - hotel, lobby, airport, airplane, you name it! Yuck! Kevin was pretty bad sick, too, so we were pitiful trying to take care of two one year olds on a six hour flight! Thankfully, we had wonderful people flying with us! We still thank God for blessing us with nice people to travel beside and pray he will bless them! And that is why we do not plan to fly with babies ever again! Not because they were bad (we actually had tons of comments on how well behaved they were and how impressed everyone was that they didn't get fussy), but because it's too hard to take care of someone else if you can only barely handle yourself!
