Go Gamecocks!

We're cheering on the gamecocks today! Daddy is at the game! Cade and Carson are actually sleeping in their cribs, but they did say: "Go! Go!" several times tonight which is what they say in response to me saying: "Go Gamecocks!"
Really hard to get them still and smiling, but here they are in action with some Gamecock toys!
Our nightly schedule is for me to take them for a bath about 7:00, get dressed in pajamas, play in the nursery, read books, talk about all the people they love, say prayers, and sing lullabies! The last 4 are done in the glider rocker in their room with them sitting in my lap. After singing songs and before I put them in their cribs (Cade still sleeps in Carson's and Carson still sleeps in Cade's - I'm not changing it since they've slept all through the night ever since we did that about 12 months old!) I have them turn around and hug Mommy goodnight. Tonight while we were all hugging, I was talking about how much Daddy and I love them and how we pray for them all the time. Anyway, I was reminding them what Daddy and I pray God will do in their lives, and when I finished talking Cade took his arms from around my neck, folded his hands together and said, "Amen!" I praise the Lord for His work in our babies' lives!

Fast Asleep!

I forgot to finish out the weekend post with the boys sleeping in the van on the way home Sunday! They were out as soon as we pulled out of the church parking lot! And, yes, we are stopped at a redlight here while I'm taking the picture.

Weekend Trip!

We had a great trip this weekend! The boys were the best they've ever been on a long trip. Maybe they are growing up! Or maybe they were just being extra good since they knew I couldn't come back there in the van. They picked out (they did, cute huh!) some precious outfits at my friend Dana's Just Ducky Originals Clothing Show! We got to play with some cute babies at her house - I forgot to take pictures, but we'll be back there in 2 weeks! Pix of all the cute grad school friends' kids soon to come! Here we are at Nana and Papa's house with cousin Suzi after our big trip of singing and naming fun things and friends all the way to Seneca!

Our after-dinner entertainment was great! The neighbor children - Caroline and Bennett performed, and the babies were in awe!

Carson even tried to join in by singing!

Cade has picked a beautiful flower for Mommy (to try to let him stay outside longer instead of going in to get a bath before bed, I'm sure)!

Addendum

Our sweet boys are watching Daddy work out the living room window after we had to come inside for bath time. Kevin has been out of town this week, and this is the first day he has gotten them ready again in the morning - usually I'm already gone for work before they wake up. Anyway, he held Carson up this morning and asked him what they should wear. Carson actually chose this outfit that Nana and Papa gave them. (After bath tonight, I asked Cade what pajamas they should wear, and he brought over his dinosaur pajamas and sat on my lap to put his feet in.)

And here's the boys watching Daddy put up the first post outside right before we went to bath time. After I put them to bed, I got to go back out and expect Kevin's work. All our posts are up now. He did a great job with his carpentry work so the finished product is going to look great!

The addendum to the fun things the boys do at this age:

-They always fold their hands when we say it's time to say prayers or ask the blessing, and they say Amen after we do. I'm so glad Kevin leads our family in loving the Lord and modeling such a good relationship with Him!

-They love to jump! They say: "Jump, jump, jump." Then they bend, pop up, and barely lift a baby toe off the floor but it's so cute! They laugh hysterically at each other doing it, too!
